While I’m happy that we will have Burns and Broadhead for April 25th, you can’t help but feel that Barnsley are within their rights to ask questions of the EFL here. Presumably some provisional squads were used in the decision? [Post edited 20 Mar 2023 17:54]

Wasn't it called off to assist fans of both clubs though. If they left it later and then called it off.. lots of fans would have been fked for refunds of travel and hotels etc. | |

Well at the risk of 50million down arrows , I still say we should never have cancelled the game. Our squad is big Enough and have enough quality in depth to have played this game. That’s my view anyway and I think the break will disrupt our momentum. We have never (historically) played well after an international break. But we have to get on with it now , as we’ve made our decision. |  |

Exactly this. If we'd waited until today and Leigh had been called up they'd all (quite rightly) be moaning that it was potsponed so late. By the sounds of it, Town have taken assurances from Jamaica in good faith and postponed the game at the earliest opportunity to minimise disruption to Barnsley and all the fans, whilst we weren't being unduly punished for being so successful our players are getting called up for international matches. | |
