In addition to the "has it ever happened?" coupled with the "I hope not - you wouldn't want it to/prevention is surely the best course" and alongside the over-riding "if that's what they want, why wouldn't you?", that thought did come to me. Surely red will show up on the blue nearly as much as the white. It would even show up on the red shorts too. So, ultimately, the important thing is that whatever else they use is as fail-proof as possible for them.
