Le Tour de Bretagne passe par le suffolk le 7 septembre. Does anyone know if they close the roads on the route, or have a rolling roadblock or something? If so, can you sort of tag on on yer bike for as long as you can keep in touch as long as you keep out of the way? |  |

its a rolling road block out on the stage, the riders ride within what they call the bubble, and the National Escort Group, reinforced with the police, motorbikes, block off traffic from endangering the race bubble as it moves along the stage.
start and finish area roads are usually closed to all traffic, as it starts and finishes in Felixstowe might be a chunk more of it closed all day.
they wont let you tag on within the bubble, unless it passes a nice bit of cycle path, but the pace they go, if you can keep up with them, youd be in the race anyway. | | | |

I watched it when it went through London about eight years ago. I was working in the Treasury/Parl St and just nipped out to the corner of Great George St and Birdcage Walk as the crowds gathered.
The Marshalls were there and the bikes went by. It took no time at all and I’m not interested in cycling, but it was quite an atmosphere and it felt like watching a little piece of history. Seen it - ✔ï¸. |  | | |
