Not just that

Wve lost 3 games in the whole of 2023

We'd have to have to lose 4 in a row to drop out of top 6....

Never want to put a dampner on our great start, but it does concern me how we keep conceeding goals. Not always are we going to score 3 or 4 goals. If we did happen to get to the Premier League I think we need a couple of centrbacks. Not sure what we have currently are good enough.

We concede goals because of the way we play which results in us scoring more goals. This seems to be lost on so many

the way we set up at home. Except if/when the oppo don't bother attacking. Which means we won't concede, obviously.

We do play pretty open which has it's pluses and minuses, the top sides do it as well. It's the modern way really.

We could certainly be tighter at the back though, the first Preston goal was pretty shambolic on our part.

But we are conceding goals against the sides competing at the top of the table... it's to be expected surely.

If we were shipping in goals to teams bottom 10 then I think people would have a point.

KM just said in his presser we were tired and they have things to work on. That’s what excites me the most about the club right now; the continual push for improvement.

Only Leicester have a better goal difference than us.

Yes, but we've not beaten any above us in the table, as the budgies will point out.

I think he has a point in a way and we seem to come out slow in the second half.

It's magical stuff though of course.

The thing is though, if we need a goal we have the ammunition on the bench, all 5 subs were involved in the last goal.

We seem to be ok with conceding at home, because we are so attack minded

Away from home it’s different, tight as hell at the back and nicking 1-0’s

To me though that seems as much that the oppo manager sorts them out somewhat at half time. Today being a prime example.

There have been a few basketball type matches at or at least periods of play at home, don’t really think today was one of them. A couple of tired clearances in the box cost us. I’m sure it will be an emphasis moving forward.

Frankly we have so many goals in us at home it’s allowing the odd mental error at the moment. Had shades of Blackburn about this game, shame we couldn’t blow both out of the water first half (both games had a +3 +4 feel about them) but it was nice to get the 4th today to not have to sweat at the end.

They’ must be as tight as a gnat’s chuff at the back. Only conceded 6 goals in 11 games. I haven’t watched them, but their stats point to a very well-drilled, solid unit with plenty of threat up top too (no surprise given their players, but not guaranteed as it still needs good coaching to get them working together effectively. Plenty of teams come down and struggle).

If we could cut out one or two of the more softly conceded goals, we’d be hell of a force. Not that we’re doing too badly as it is!

The first halves against Hull and Preston this week are as good as I’ve seen from us. Probably as good as I’ve seen from any team at this level. We’re stupidly good when we’re on it.

Leicester do look like what they actually are. A prem side who've used money extremely well to keep the team as strong as they needed to. They are a different breed.

But I still think our game will end 4 4

They look like they have a Premiership defence with some quality players going forward with a lot of depth

They still look like they are gelling to me but no one has really been able to lay a glove on them, was it Hull who beat them?

Us and Leicester going up as 1/2 would be amazing, two teams in blue, two teams norwich dislike (they have a history with Leicester, few of theirs got sent down for a punch up some years back)
