As much as I hate Norwich (well, the footy team - the city itself is quite nice), they are insignificant when it comes to us getting back to where we belong. I would gladly never win a league game against them again if it means we're Premier League.

I don't know. I've got PTSD from the last few derbies and given our expectations at the start of the season, i'd sacrifice a top 2 finish for a year of not losing to them. Maybe even the two derby wins and touch-and-go for playoffs (because i never said we wouldn't win the playoffs if we get in).

Oh you wet blanket! Who cares if we lose a couple of games if we end up in the division above them next year (or even two???!)

We lose to them twice, they get cocky, we wave to them from the Premier League whilst they live in mid table Championship anonymity. Burdened with debt, we encroach into Norfolk and setup an Ipswich Town Centre of Excellence outpost in Norwich City Centre.

One of the last town games i saw in the flesh was us losing to them 5-1 at PR. Then i had to leave the country and never return. Maybe i should buy a flight home for december 16th and book an appointment with a shrink for the 17th.

I really don't wish to offend you but this is absolute insanity!

(Apologies SomethingBlue, was meant as a reply to the OP not you.)
You've got a screw lose (in the nicest possible sense)
Sacrificing a whole season's worth of growth and potential success for two games with a club that other than parts of the east anglian region no one gives a toss about.
It's a really odd take. If we lose to them lot I'm pissed off for a couple of days, and I'm sure I know more Norwich fans considering my childhood was growing up in Norwich, so i've had plenty of ribbing for 10+ years but i'd never sacrifice the success of my club just to beat them.
So say we beat them twice but stay down in championship and play them next season and lose twice less than 12 months later.....do you now see how stupid your view is...?
It would be nice to beat Norwich again, just because the meltdown on their end would be fantastic after their "Invincibles" era (in their minds only). They are certainly due a derby loss and a thumping by us, but I wouldn't take promotion over that.
But why not have both? Imagine thumping them 5 or 6-0 up at their place.

Well now they will be claiming we reckon we are going to thump ( my word as well!) them twice when we are really only speculating what would be nice!

Unable to vote in this poll as i could choose between promotion and losing to the scum. So as side line I am going for beating the scum twice, and getting promtion :-)

Reasonable comment - a very nice city 👍

Win the league but only thrash nodge at PR. The most one-sided 0-0 ever at carrot road with them defending their goal with 12 men (including the ref who stops two goal bound shots and fails to award 3 clear cut penalties).
