Teams not wearing their home colours when they can is right up there in the list of things I dislike about modern football. Blue is our colour, our heritage, our identity. I want to see us play in blue, and teams coming to Portman Road to wear their home colours when then can. Imagine if we get promoted and Liverpool come to Portman Road wearing a white away shirt. I've always wondered about this whenever I see any team not playing in their traditional home colours.
Does it actually have an effect? Does it reduce performance levels and chances of a victory? Are any reduced win % when wearing away kits simply due to it being 'harder' to win away from home? [Post edited 23 Dec 2023 10:16]
