Liverpool and Manchester are both great cities but both are far too high on the list.

These are essentially clickbait articles and highly subjective but having lived in Madrid and Barcelona, their positions are way off in my experience. I also visited both as a tourist before living there, and Barcelona is a much more livable city and a great walk around location.

I lived in Madrid for much longer than Barcelona and it was decent but not a patch on what Barcelona has to offer.

There's also no mention of fine cities like Valencia, Bilbao or Seville, all of which I'd put above Madrid for a getaway.

I live Barcelona, first visited in 2006. It has a few flaws, but what a beautiful city with great food and climate. Melbourne, Paris, Milan, London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast, even Sydney, It beats them all.

Some of the buildings in Barcelona are a bit gaudi though.

Clearly it would have been 20th had Ipswich gone through with its city bid last time round.

Barcelona down at 38th trailing such delights like Glasgow tells you all about that list. Whilst Edinburgh is nowhere to be seen unless I missed it whilst trawling through the names.

Surely that only makes sense if you moved from there to one of the places in positions 1-18, if not aren't you the sucker who should weep?

Of course Liverpool is better than Tokyo, Rome and Paris.

We are Premier League, say we are Premier League!

I much prefer Seville over Madrid and Barcelona.

It's a bit of an odd list. Very subjective (obviously it has to be). No place for Stockholm, for example? Hmm. Vancouver way down in 50th and below Montreal? Hmm.

Cape Town in 2nd.... yeah ok.

Rome criminally underrated and behind Liverpool.... yeah ok.

Timeout - basically the equivalent of FLW.
