Fair play to them, they have us. Let's go up and hope to never see them again.

Let's play them more often, annual home and away friendlies preseason then they'll tire of raising their game to play us, their cup final mentality will dissipate
and perhaps they will get over us and try to beat other teams just as much. On the other hand their preoccupation with us, the big team in East Anglia, has led them to having no league, major cup or European trophy success.

Agree. I hate the games. I always did. I’m always glad when they’re over. Relief if we win (yes I can remember that far back) annoyed as hell and f’d off when we don’t.

Psychology may shift if we meet in the Play-offs. The league positions would mean nothing, they would (more than likely) start favourites and they would possibly be more under pressure to keep their record over us going. It may end up being as much as a noose round their neck as it is a monkey on our back.

That's my optimistic take on it anyway.

Also. I'd like to think our mentality would change with the fact that there's no 2nd chances.

We rightly have had the same mentality all season that we go again... but playoffs there is no 2nd chance.

a niche perspective

One thing I will say, and it pains me to say it, they make their ground an horrendous place to play at, so compact, and the noise was unreal at times, and I think it was just too big of an occasion for our boys today unfortunately.

They'd be firm favourites in the play offs but the balance could shift as we'd have Burns and Hirst back from injury.

Hope we don't get them though, we don't seem to know how to play them.

It's bothered me in recent years because it's been accompanied by our slow, torturous decline whilst they've enjoyed some of their best years. There were times that I wasn't convinced we'd even play them again, let alone beat them.

I'm amazed at how relaxed I've been about this defeat, even before the Leeds loss this afternoon. If we go up having still not beaten Norwich, I shan't give them a second thought.

And even if we don't go up, I'm happy in the knowledge that we're going in the right direction and that it is highly likely that we will beat them again soon.

It felt like we were back in League One again and it was 3 points on the line for us, but like a cup final for them.

If it's the play offs then it's more likely that we will face West Brom.

I'm assuming that when this winless run in the derby ends, it will do so in a way that makes it worth the wait.*

*Knowing our luck though, it will be with a 2-1 win in the second leg of the play-off semis having lost the first leg 2-0.

If that is the case we need to ask ourselves why it meant more to them than us.

Yes don't know why but before today if faced with them in the playoffs I'd be dreading the worst but now I suppose I think it's already happened. Just suddenly fancy it as we'd be undoubted underdogs

All this "meant more to them" b*ll*cks should get shoved right up the dark place where it belongs.

When you see the work and the hunger and the commitment this team has put in over the last two years, and what they've achieved with it, you know that's absolute b*ll*cks.

We may be tired, we may be carrying injuries and we may be riddled with illness and the after effects, but one thing we are NOT, is short of desire and commitment.

Anyone saying that needs to see what their own commitment tastes like.

100% this, there's a huge difference between not at our best and them wanting it more, laughable given before the game we were a team who never knows when it's beaten ...

My main take from the majority of the run, is how far Marcus Evans has taken us backwards

We definitely need to get back to the Prem and get on that parachute payments gravy train

I've no doubt if Norwich fail to go up this season, the lack of parachute payments and the boreball they play under Wagner is likely to see him sacked if results dry up next season

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!
