We can't forget the KM effect - I bet a bunch of players will make their decision based on McKenna's pedigree.

3 observations here;
1) would be very surprised if he wanted to sign for Dyche over McKenna.
2) probably more worried about Palace, especially as he’s an ideal replacement for Olise who’s just about to sign for Bayern Munich.
3) the one good thing on our side is that he’s someone we’ve targeted before and probably already had conversations with … and he’ll see how we go back in for targets even after we’ve missed out on them first time around.
Suspect it’s why Town are trying to get a deal done quickly for them both. |  |

About right this id say. Hence palace favourites, if reports are accurate, which we have no reason to think there’re not.

The last time we tried a double swoop, we ended up with Paul Taylor, the other was supposed to be George Boyd £1.75m for the pair of them, but with the majority supposedly for Taylor. My memory says the fee we were supposedly lining up for them was almost all spent on Taylor.
I hope we land both of them in the Hull bid, and that they are much better than Paul Taylor.

It's a tricky one.
He could look at Olise coming from Reading and going to Bayern and Eze playing for England and Zaha and see them as a perfect club for him to develop at, reasonably safe, known for their flair players. Or Palace and Everton could offer him more money and we are done if that's his main motivation.
But the bit of me hoping is that we target certain characters that are intelligent and pick clubs for the right reasons. Philogene is a few weeks off 3,000 Town fans at Hull, seeing what Omari (a mate of his) did and how he developed under McKenna, knowing the ambition of this club, the fan base and that he will, unlike Palace possibly, start every week if he's playing well and may pick us. | | | |
