Given how early he came out for the second half yesterday, I think he's already refusing to speak to them.

Which game was it where Paul Hurst threw the team under the bus post-match? Exeter in the Carabao?

Yep, by 2 or 3 games in they had sussed him. In fact I think they had sussed him by Braintree in pre-season. Away at Barnet it was already clear Waghorn didnt intend to hand around and play under him.

It was such a shame as Waghorn looked well up for the new season and was part of our kit/st promotional stuff. Then Hurst comes in, his transfer request was in

I made a similar comparison when he was down here with Southampton last season. All the same themes, we were brilliant etc.

His arrogance and ego is actually quite amusing given what a mediocre manager he is. Unfortunately for him, games are won on goals, not the number of passes in your own half.

I think we need him to keep his job and keep on losing games until mid-November. I think that's the tipping point for 'doomed' status. One of the 3 teams that have to finish below us to ensure our survival. Not an attractive job for a new manager, trying to instill confidence in a squad of players who are at the bottom of the table. A job for an old-time manager who wants one last pay-day? Allardyce, Lambert, Pulis?

David Moyes will be fire-fighting at a PL club before Xmas. Lots of owners will be petrified of relegation & the sacking season will be in full swing.

I think Moyes is a quality manager, but he never seems to quite get full backing from his employers. I still think he was fired too soon from Man U, and honestly thing he'd be the sensible choice for them now. The sooner someone on the board stops believing in Man U's hubris from past glories, the better they will be

Yes Moyes, who was chosen by his predecessor the Purple Weasel, was fired after it was clear that his first season was going to be a failure, with Man U missing out on the Champions' League. I don't think Moyes was quite bold & confident enough at first - his only signing was the Everton carthorse Fellaini, but he would probably have grown into the job & they'd almost certainly done better over the next 5-10 years than all the constant chopping & changing.

He's good at what he does but way to limited for a big club expected to attack and win games. Plenty in the same mould e.g. dyche, Hodgson (McCarthy to an extent) etc. they are high quality managers suited to maximising points for smaller budget teams. The style won't maximise points for bigger clubs who need to be winning more regularly and not setting up to stifle. You can be a high quality manager but more suited to certain clubs.
