Been noises locally for a while that he was off in Jan but were hoping they weren’t true and with him being in the team and playing well didn’t think there would be a chance he’d be off but who knows. |  |

McKenna clearly thinks he needs to upgrade Wolfie, given he's signed 3 CBs since we were promoted. He has stepped up well and I'll be sad to see him go as he's the only academy player in the team, but KM knows exactly what we need. |  | | |

I wonder if this suggests the back three is temporary until we sign re-enforcements? As, particularly in a three, I struggle to see how Woolfenden is a downgrade on the rest. | |

I’d be surprised if we let him go. He’s done well in the last few games. Can’t believe that the fee would be that significant to make a noticeable difference to PSR. If the issue is freeing up squad space I would have thought that there would be a few more obvious candidates (Ogbene, Luongo..) | |

Yes, this won't be to free up a squad place. This will be for funds, and possibly Woolfenden wanting more game time then he may get here. I think there's something about academy players which makes selling them more lucrative (for want of better word) for FFP though not quite sure how.
