It’s a 6 a side tournament. Starts today. Club managers include: John Terry, Shearer Micah Richards and Lineker (joint managers), Lehman Pires and Ljungberg (joint managers) plus a lot of ‘Celeb’ types - rappers and influencers etc.
Players are a sprinkling of lesser known ex pros - Josh Harrop and James Aliba are the only ex ITFC connections. It’s on Sky sports Mix at 17.15. First game 17.25 and goes on till about 23.00. There are 12 teams in the league I think…!? [Post edited 24 Mar 2025 16:51]

And an additional twist will see new rules added to the final three minutes of each half which include: A 3v3 format, long-range goals counting as double, goalkeepers not being allowed to use their hands and more.
Why mess with something that works well? 6 a side is entertaining. Goalkeepers not being allowed to use their hands is just needless BS. |  | | |

The name Josh Harrop still sends shivers down my spine. What an absolute dog sh1t time of following Town that was. Those 3-0 defeats to Wimbledon and Northampton was the bottom in hindsight, I think Harrop got sent off in one of those.
Kienan Bennetts. Nsiala. Holy. Troy Parrot. Feck me. He's done well for himself since but I don't think I've ever seen a player so obviously uninterested and unmotivated than Troy Parrot in his Ipswich spell.
