If he has their feistiness and stamina, his height isn't an issue.

The best all round Ipswich Central Midfielder this century, Matt Holland, is 5 foot 9 inches, the same height as Jermaine Wright, and they played together. Mikel Arteta was the same height, as was Didier Deschamps. Michael Essien was 5 foot 10. Xavi 5 foot 7.

Some of the best Central Midfielders of the past 25 years, both holding and box to box midfielders, have been a similar height. It absolutely isn't the primary attribute required to excel in the position.
