Not to mention none of those rock / pop celebs have been the main club sponsor and now minor shareholder.

I really don't get the OPs fixation on the fact our CEO is social media savvy and looking to promote the club . . .

If any of those names were a major advertiser and investor at a club then it’d be pretty unprofessional if the CEO didn’t shmooze them a bit. But they’re not, so it’s a strange comparison to attempt to make.
