I'm inclined to agree, I think man for man we definitely do have more ability in the squad than 2 years ago.

That team and team spirit built over time and grew into what it was, more than the sum of its parts. We just need that building to happen now, that growth and togetherness to kick in. And it naturally should I believe once we get the full squad together and a few games that dare I say may be a tiny bit more straightforward? Preston and Derby would be good games to start. |  | | |

I don't think he is currently correct when considering the current midfield pairing to Morsy/Luongo, but he is hardly going to thrown Azor and Taylor or Cajuste under the bus. But the potential is there for the midfield to improve as they gel so hopefully in a month he will be correct !! | | | |

Why is everyone in such a rush to jump to conclusions? Nobody can say whether we're the best team in the league or not, there's nowhere near enough evidence. We have a good collection of individuals but still some way to go as a team. And I wouldn't put much stock in player interviews, they're just there to provide a bit of content. No need to make any grand declarations either way. [Post edited 18 Aug 8:22]
