I get there quite early, but this doesn't feel like it's been well communicated ahead of tomorrow, and seems to get rid of a few car parks as can no longer be accessed - the SCC multi storey, the one on PR, access to the one behind the old Hollywoods, etc |  |

I think the EADT article about this says that those wishing to access or egress those car parks will be allowed.

Yeah, saw this earlier. Definitely good to raise awareness as I'm sure many don't even know its happening.

What’s the point of this experiment? Is it the same as the bus lane ‘experiment’ which did absolutely nothing, garnered negative feedback which they had to pretend they didn’t hear, and then seems to be still there for the occasional bus that might pass through.
I don’t live in Ipswich but I suspect if one wanted to find one of the major reasons it’s such a dead and desolate town now, one wouldn’t have to look far from the council. | | | |

It's only really Princes Street that's different - none of the other roads get accessed apart from those residing there on matchday around the game times.
The experiment is basically to show that ingress and egress could be managed for (football) crowds up to 37,000 with small changes to the matchday logistics and manning. | | | |

Spoke to Snr as the bus needed to know for Halesworth lot. Doesn't start until the Portsmouth game according to the police liason officer.

The announced pre-match closures would impact coach arrivals and access to SCC and Portman Road car parks (the big one would only be open at the back from 1.30pm). This would be the case for 30 mins postmatch too. | | | |
