What's your favourite moment from this season? 20:17 - Apr 30 with 1722 viewsFrimleyBlue

Thinking back through the KM seasons, there's been many things that will always be remembered, so this season I see no different.

What do you think you'll remember from a town game/s this season

For me, it's something to do with Davis and more of a usual thing over a specific moment

But watching tv as discussed before there are things you don't see that you do at the ground, but one thing that always makes me chuckle is the TV pans to a Philogene or Clarke on the ball and out of nowhere Davis just appears gunning along the bottom of the screen and absolutely storming along the pitch to a large majority of time, not even getting the ball and then doing it all over again.

For all the individual goals, or assists made this season. That selfless run of Davis imo is something to be remembered with the same love.

Philogene long ranger against that lot.

Not celebrated a goal as much as that since Sarmiento vs saints.

The pen away to the budgies. How sweet to get our first win at Carrer Rud, the spiritual home of Grant Holt, Darren Huckerby and Robert Fleck via a debateable penalty.

In the ground: Jaden thunderbastard v that lot.

Watching back: "Us and our people".

Honourable mention: Kacey finally getting the goal he's deserved a long time.

That match again:

Marcelino's 15-minute cameo in that match. Never before have I seen a set of fans of an in form team so completely get distracted from the bigger picture.

Yep! I do think that is the 15 mins all remember and tell my grandkids about! Small and insignificant in the big scheme of things, but for us Town fans they were wonderful moments!

Wes Burns goal against Coventry. (What all good promotion seasons are remembered for).

Coming back after his injury, then scoring the second goal to beat the team who were running away with the league. Felt that was our most complete performance of the season.

From the home games:

1) Jaden scoring the best goal in the history of the East Anglian Derby.
2) Azor scoring against Hull, the game needed something like that to break the deadlock, and the whole team seemed genuinely happy for him.
3) Dismantling Coventry at home with ease.

From the away games:

1) The away day crowd at Derby.
2) Finally ticking off Hillsborough.

I think if you watch back each of Philogene's goals against Sheff Utd, you'll see Davis doing exactly as you describe - absolutely sprinting into picture. What an engine.

Hard to look past Burns at Coventry for me. His goal the other night also comes close as it felt like classic Burns, and it was another McKenna special when he starts a recently injured player out of the blue. Just a shame we couldn't get it over the line.

Also remember feeling very happy for Hirst when he scored at home to Cov, having missed an earlier chance and getting some stick generally from some sections of the fan base.

Lots to choose from.
Some great goals and some great saves.

For me it's got to be Furlong and his priceless sh1thousing skills, especially away from home.
Getting Travis sent off at Pride Park and winding up EMC at Coventry were probably his greatest hits.

Purely for the shitehousing.. Nunez has been pound for pound the best signing.. I pray he scores the goal that promotes us.

It was like watching a series of "slow-motion-car-crash-near-misses", through the gaps between your fingers covering your eyes, every time Nunez went near the ball. All to the sound of Billy Smart's Circus music and apoplectic budgie squawking - simultaneously terrible and side-splittingly hilarious - yet somehow masterful .

Unforgettable.

Agree with many of the ones that have already been posted but I'd also add Sheff Utd at home. I don't think I realised how jaded the second half of the Prem season, alongside the first month of the champ season, had made me - it was probably the first time all year I'd really enjoyed watching us play.

Norwich at home. Given all the history, to finally exorcise that ghost... and with a Philogene worldie too... will stick in the memory more than anything else.

Here's my poem I wrote about it at the time;

Ghosts

Gossamer wisps on a crisp blue sky.
A train full of ghosts, two coasts roll by.
A stadium rising; an apparition.
Fears smeared on hope and ambition.

But something was different, spirits were high.
The taunting, this haunting, once daunting must die.
Though the roll of a die for once was not why;
we’ve the players, silver bullets, to crucify.

And so came Kipre from a corner smashed in.
A Philogene scream-er, a dream with a grin.
A jeepers keeper’s horror show, pressure would tell.
A scrawny deflection, spawny as Hell.

Through the mist of blue smoke and hope came dread.
For them, and would stem from a man in their head.
Azon ran on, struck on-to a post.
Back to Jack - smack - so close for the host.

Ipswich free-flowing, smelt blood as it bled.
Norwich, more zombies, the inbred undead.
At the whistle a sixteen year nightmare ceases.
Ghosts after exorcise
rest
in pieces.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

The obvious but correct answer.

Wes v Coventry second.

Sheff Utd at home gets the honourable mention for being the moment most of us felt that relief that we might actually do ok this season, after the ropey start.
