Easy for me as didn't have work today, set the alarm for just before kick off, slept through it.

Did wake shortly before two, realised the time and checked my phone for the score only to see it was literally about to kick off so watched from there, as the kick off was made. Not slept since though and starting to feel it now.

For once though my TV was ahead of the local pub so saw the goals before I heard them.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Fully understandable, I fell asleep during the Norway match. I think most people would have slept through it even if it was a 3pm kickoff.

Well as these days as I have no workplace to have any sense of responsibility towards, I made it through too. An amazing night and well worth the late/early? shift. Without question one of the most dramatic, drama filled cacophonous few hours I've spent watching football. I've questioned in the past whether England have the cajones for that type of thing. They answered.

I had a tactical nap, 11 - 1. Woke up, saw it had been delayed so got another hour in. Downstairs for kick off, wife joined me, loved it. I was questioning my life choices as I was still sat on my sofa at 4:30am this morning though listening to Micah Richards as I finished my beer. Saw the sun was coming up and went back to bed for a couple of hours until the kids woke up.

Been a bit of a struggle today but I'm not used to loads of sleep at the best of times. Games like that don't come around often, next WC is in Spain, as a 1 off I don't have any issues and so glad I did. There's something special about watching it play out live, I've never been one to like watching games back after the event really, loses some of the theatre of it knowing it happened hours ago.

I think they're just happy to be there. There's a real party atmosphere around and I don't think they can quite believe that they're still there. Older Norwegians still like to remind us that they've never lost to Brazil and that they beat England in 81.
