Goal aside, which was a glimpse at the quality Keane and Sears possess, it sounded like the majority of threats at their goal came from Bishop and then El Mizouni taking it upon themselves to make a positive move forwards.
Apart from a couple of alterations, that, personnel-wise, was pretty much what you could expect us to put out in a league game. No excuses, especially against a reserve league 2 side. |  |

The Exeter second string did beat Oxford in the previous round but generally you are right.
Bishop, Dozzell and Kenlock were exceptions with Bishop playing particularly well. Need to keep him fit and he needs to be starting.

Yes we had a good start, but the teams that we started off against are generally poor teams. As we've come up against any of the better teams we just don't perform and that's now dripping into games we should be winning. Not for me on this occasion. I saw this game as an annoyance after the good performance against Wycombe. My hope is that we're never seen in it ever again. In truth, i'm glad we're out of it - the thought of getting to Wembley to potentially play and under-21 side was grim! |  |
