After Eight mints 12:12 - Nov 18 with 4286 views

Deary deary me, have they shrunk or what? I’m sure the chocolate used to peek out very noticeably from its fancy sleeve. No more. About 20% smaller/thinner. Also less minty than I remember. Christmas is close to being ruined.

Mars bars still get me. I used to eat them in 3 sittings as a kid. Obviously I'm bigger, I won't deny that, but they used to be the size of a brick, now they're like a fun size.

I don't get the whole 'fun-size' thing anyway. Surely making something like that much smaller than the standard size isn't anyone's idea of making them more fun?

Worse than that, each segment is now concave. It isn't even a solid ball of chocolate anymore.

I would far rather they just put the price up but retain the product as it was.

My husband got us a tub of Quality Street yesterday - they are so SMALL now. Probably got about 10 chocolates in as well. The tins we used to get when I was a kid lasted us months and the tin was useful afterwards as well.

World Market has them along with a lot of other overpriced imported Brit treats. $25 for a tin of quality street! Luckily a recently opened independent “international food mart” has just opened in my town and they have a great selection of British chocolate (shout out to the underrated Galaxy ripple) and... they have tins of quality street for just $15. Probably gonna check the sell by date first...
