Not sure that's really the best way to be looking at these things are you?

Unluckily for you they are providing it at cost during the length of the pandemic (as declared by the WHO) and then for cost/free for all developing countries even after that.

I think that needs a bit more testing though as only some of the samples were tested that way and it was in error.

No, the testing numbers and results have just been finalised.

It will now have to be submitted to the regulator for them to review. I suspect there will be questions around the dosage but that looks like it might have been a quirk of the numbers.

"The Lancet publication includes full safety data from volunteers in those two countries and also South Africa, where efficacy results are not yet available. Of a total of over 23,000 trial volunteers, only three from 175 reported serious adverse events were possibly related to the vaccine."

So 0.01% of serious events were possibly related to the vaccine.

It's looking at having an efficacy of between 62% and 90% so not as good as the mRNA vaccines (which is interesting for many reasons) but it's easier to distribute and cheaper.

I have 6 shares in them. Don’t think I’ll ring the Ferrari garage just yet then.

It was a tongue in cheek comment for the record....

According to Dr John Campbell it will likely be approved on the 18th. He's hinted he has been told that by contacts he has.

Exciting stuff if true. He also seems to think it will be given to the first patients on the 19th which would be fantastic. I think his prediction is 17th they meet, 18th they make the announcement and get it out to the centres and then they begin on the 19th.

Lets hope so.

Truly impaired.

So try to take this as an unloaded question as that is what it is.
Much is being made of how despite the 70% protection rate, there were no hospitalisations amongst those given the vaccine. So 1) Presuming vulnerable people weren't used for trials could this just be evidence that relatively healthy people are not hospitalised or 2) have figures been published from the research showing how many hospitalisations occurred in the non vaccinated trial cohort.

If I get the vaccine I would want it to be this one due to the not for profit ethic.
