In the general case where people aren't just making it up it's almost certainly sleep paralysis.

Of course it's impossible to rule out individual cases happening, it's certainly the type of thing humans would do to a less developed species (in fact we do it all the time, paralyse and tag animals for tracking and study).

However even if it was happening it wouldn't be at the insane levels claimed in the US (millions of cases), it would be the occasional loner out in the woods. People claim to be adducted from central NYC by being pulled out of their windows which is clearly nonsense and fall into the "weird" category.

Has anyone ever experienced being abducted by aliens?

I'm guessing that'll be a 'no', but then they would say that wouldn't they?

I did in a Stereophonic concert in London once. Not a good idea to go to a gig with dodgy guts when the bogs are miles away.

Robert Earnshaw once forced me to go and have a pint with him, as he had no friends *

*This is, of course a load of old bollox.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Not an abduction per se, but relatively recently I saw a mildly interesting documentary about a dude in Delphos, Kansas in the US of A, who reckons as a kid a UFO landed on the family land. His parents rushed to get a camera, and then it disappeared off. He was adamant, it was a bright craft that disappeared into the night. He had told the story but hadn't ever let scientists in to investigate, until this documentary. Nothing had subsequently grown on the piece of land the supposed UFO landed on. They did various tests on the soil etc and found it to behave really strangely, just in the area it supposedly landed. For example, in lab tests they poured liquid onto the soil, which it repelled, like it was plastic. They couldn't explain it at all.

I'm not sure I believe in Aliens of course, although it does blow my mind that it's highly likely there's life out there somewhere, when you consider there's likely 10s of billions of solar systems. Who knows how intelligent that life is, but it seems fairly unlikely that what we call Earth is the most intelligent of them all. Perhaps they do know of our existence, perhaps they've visited. Perhaps there's equivalent planets that don't know of us, but also suspect its feasible, who are having the same conversations and arguing about which of their sh1t central defenders is best. Boggles the mind innit.

I also totally agree with others, strange how it's always weird redneck Americans who seem to get abducted though...

Saw a genuine unexplainable UFO in broad daylight back in 2005.

Who knows where it was from or who it was, will never find out.

Also seen a couple of strange things at night since, but the first sighting was the clearest and absolutely mind expanding. Made me feel lucky to be able to witness what I saw.

Up and mainly down, following Town since 88

I used to get abducted every Friday night walking back from The Brickies.

When I woke on Saturday mornings my memory had been erased.

He seems a good egg

That case does take some explaining. With everyone still sticking to it all these years later.

I believe there is other life out there. Space is so vast and they are finding new planets every couple of weeks on average. Look up at the sky and see how many stars we can see just from our position on earth. Each star has, on average, a planet orbiting around it. Take away all our conditioning and ask yourself could it be happening? The answer is yes. Obviously that doesn't make it likely to be happening. There's plenty that can't be explained including people who have had implants removed which were then analysed and found to be meteorite in origin.

My biggest issue with UFOs we see on earth is that if they were genuinely aliens then they would easily have the technology to camouflage themselves so we didn't see them. If they simply don't care that we can see them then why don't we see more of them? It makes me think that what we do see is probably some type of event which we could explain if we had all the pieces of the puzzle.

Another point is that we recently witnessed a star destroyed by a black hole in the Eridanus constellation. Recently for us anyway...the event happened 215 million years ago and we're now seeing it because it's taken the light that long to travel here. So could aliens exist in civilisations way beyond our own? They could. Could we beat a long, long, long way away from being able to communicate with them? Yes.

Not an abduction, but in 1984 on outskirts of Woodbridge saw something unexplained (albeit put it down to some advanced military tech due to proximity to airbases). Large metallic object appeared out of no where just above car, forced a stop, windows down to look, no sound at all, disappeared in front of eyes (not moved away, just gone). All done in less than a minute. Totally weird.

Witnessed by me and passenger in car.

Seen helicopters go silent in the years since, but nothing of the shape, size and total silence witnessed. Or anything that could vanish in a blink.

Michael Knighton, who famously failed to buy Man United & ended up owning Carlisle United, was abducted by space aliens.
Or, he didn't really have the money to buy Man Utd.
If you claim one of these things is untrue, he will sue you.
