He went through a spell soon after Lambert arrived of costing us a goal a game, crucial matches, crucial goals. At other times that station he looked on but never really looked good enough for the Championship. That was followed by another relegation with Hull.
He might make it back to the Championship but this league looks his level at the moment.
He was genuinely terrible here. Some rated him mainly on the basis that his name wasn't Luke Chambers but he cost us so many goals through individual errors and his eye catching last minute defending was only necessary because he had zero positional sense.

Everton have a bizarre approach to youth players.
It's the keeping players on long after they cease to be youth players, well past their mid-twenties when they've quite obviously got zero chance of being premier league players.

He was average at best. Made one or two great last ditch tackles, but mainly as a result of him being out of position or making a mistake. I wouldn't want him back here.

He always looked like a player who had a mistake in him, irrespective of how well he was playing in a game. You couldn't hang your hat on him to be rock solid for 90 minutes, and as a centre half simply not a leader.

And we now have one of the Everton youth coaches here. Just saying!
He wouldn't have worked with most of them as they've been out on loan for 6 years. Even the first team boss has no idea who or where they are. Maybe the club make small profits with loan fees?

For a little while him and Nsiala looked like they were getting better as a partnership. That being said always prone to a mistake. Might do well for Shrews.

How long was that 'while'? I'm guessing you could measure it in minutes, tops.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

More generally, Everton fans must rank as high as us on the Football Misery Index â„¢ï¸ If you factor in success of arch rivals and failure to meet own expectations over the last few years.
I thought he was average in a poor team. The thing I never understood was why Hurst played Pennington, Nsiala and Chambers all at the same time despite spunking loads of money on Donacien and turning down KVY in the Summer. Peak banter era right there.
Not saying he was great but he wasn't worse than the other defenders. The entire defence was terrible. For the 'obvious' reasons though he gets bigger criticism than any other defender. He wasn't a 'proper bloke' that's why.
He made mistakes, eh? So did the 'proper blokes'.
And this one below. Watch from 1:35. He'd deal with the two Reading forwards to prevent them from scoring. Knudsen despite the close vicinity wasn't even arsed to help him out.
