It’s happened at a few events lately. Although any booing is still depressing, it’s reassuring to know that the racists and racist apologists are very much in the minority. Most people seem decent at heart and will support any efforts to highlight and eradicate racism. It gives me hope that we can eventually beat the populist weaponising of race and nationality that’s plagued several countries in recent years, including the UK and USA of course. |  |

It's hard to reach any other conclusion and I think Occam's razor is handy here. If you are booing an anti-racist gesture that is peaceful and does not negatively impact you in any way then your boo is a gesture in support of racism. It really is that simple. |  |
