Okay, well regardless of their thoughts, Phil has stated on more than 1 occasion that it's just an announcement which is left.
You also have to question why WBA would even enter into negotiations with us about the sale of a player when they don't have a manager in place. I think that probably tells you all you need to know about whether they want Harper or not.
Still, if it happens, great, if it doesn't, just move on to the next target. | |

I'm not saying he won't end up our player I'm saying (as I've always said) it's not a done deal. A new manager at WBA would always want to have a look at him. They'd be stupid not to. And it's not a case of believing one reporter over another, this is what I have said all along. The local brummie reporter is reporting a development in the story, that he/she has got from a contact at WBA. That development being the move is on hold until the incoming manager has assessed Harper. It's not rocket science. He may end up with us, but also the move may collapse if the incoming manager blocks it. WHICH IS ALL I'VE BEEN SAYING SINCE DAY ONE. | |

You don't even know the sex of the reporter (clue: it's at the bottom of the article) and yet you know they got this "development in the story" from a contact at WBA?! He could just be guessing and making something up on a slow news day for all you know.

I don't think it's worth fans getting besotted with one player or another signing for Town.
There has already been significant changes in the squad and - unlike the Hurst summer - it's not as if all our best players are the ones which have departed. This is all about having a team that Cook can drill in the way he wants to play, with a fresh start and clean break from the poor morale of last season. | |
