Maybe Cook rates Nsiala and Woolfenden? The former has now played 338 senior matches in his career, so he is pretty experienced. Even Woolfenden has played 125. [Post edited 14 Jul 2021 20:28]

I don't think so.
Championship interest makes it very unlikely I'd say. There is no guarantee we'll go up next season and Crooks will want to play Championship football now there are clubs in for him. I'd be absolutely delighted to be wrong. [Post edited 14 Jul 2021 20:29]

Ashton said 5 incoming... 2 have joined since then, with CD, CD and FL the only positions not filled by new players. I'd be surprised if we don't have 2 new CBs come the start of the season. | |

Thought Celina was being lined up for that position, with Bonne primarily being an option if we wanted two strikers on or as a back-up to Piggot.
But even if he is first choice FL, then that would just increase the chances of a CB coming in.
Considering Ashton suggests we are after 3 more players, what positions do you think they are, if not CB?
EDIT: For what it is worth, I think he rates them too. Just that Donacien and Ndaba can't be the sum total of our defensive cover going into the new season, surely? [Post edited 14 Jul 2021 21:20]

If Crooks and Celina are still in the pipeline, as Phil seems to think, then that leaves one of the five. Mind you, I'm not convinced that is a final number, just those getting somewhere close to across the line.
Think he might be after a fullback and, yes, probably a centre back. Mainly because those are, as you say, the main areas we're understrength. But I have a feeling we'll see Nsiala a fair bit this season, more so perhaps than Woolfenden. | |

Signing fraser strengthens our bargaining position with rotherham. We can say we don't need crooks so much now we've got fraser in. Hopefully that speeds things up. Well played, mr ashton. | |
