I always admire his honesty. He at least recognises why it's sh1te.

Calling us weak at one end and toothless at the other. If he actually played round pegs in round holes in the final third we might get somewhere.
Cook's post match with the club here on 23:10 - Aug 17 with 1306 views | Coastalblue | What was so interesting over to the right? He looks like a man under a lot of pressure to me, more so than you would generally expect with the role.

Intelligent, insightful and honest… but a guy under real pressure now… on 23:12 - Aug 17 with 1283 views | unstableblue | … who needs our support for the next two games, we are right to question, that needs to wait till 5pm Saturday But we need to back those boys with passion And stop this silliness we have a divine right to win or this is a sh!t league, Burton for example beat Sunderland tonight and have 3 in 3…. This viewpoint has to stop from the fans.

Probably because he is under a lot of pressure. He's fully aware that his credit with some of the fanbase is low after the abysmal end to last season, no matter how much he tried to palm it off on the players, and now a whole new set have started how the old lot finished the spotlight is going to turn on him.

WE ARE IN LEAGUE ONE FFS! of course we should have a right to be winning these games! How far have our standards slipped that its ok to lose to Burton and Cheltenham? Yes it might take time to gel etc but accepting that it is OK to lose to these sides is frankly embarrassing
Cook's post match with the club here on 23:17 - Aug 17 with 1184 views | JDB23 | "Weak at one end and can't score at the other", the Ipswich Town mantra. Unreal amount of goals and assists brought into the club over the Summer and we can only create one real good chance against Cheltenham, just no where near good enough I'm afraid. Saturday is a huge game now, don't win that in front of your home fans and every single bit of optimism built up over the last few months will be pissed down the drain.

Especially from someone who so vocally demanded much more from Mick when he was juggling sand and performing miracles in the league above. It's almost like these grand footballing idealists and purists on here aren't all that consistent and honest....

Our support of the team isn't in question this season. I really don't know how you've managed to convince yourself that asking serious questions about the club is anti-support.

Cook's post match with the club here on 06:41 - Aug 18 with 823 views | PrideOfTheEast | We invited that second half onslaught. It was so obvious that he needed to make changes on around 60mins as we were sitting back and for whatever reason couldn’t get out. Really questionable in game management for me. Thoroughly enjoyed a lot of the first half and you can see we have the tools but why on earth did he allow that to happen? If you don’t attack teams like that then obviously they are going to put it down the sides and win throws (which seemed to be there only real hope of scoring). Should have done Barry for Edwards, Dobra for Fraser on 60mins.

It wasn't in the front four where it needed freshening up. Harper and Evans both looked pedestrian in the final 30 and the game pretty much passed them by following the equaliser.

Agreed. I thought Evans had a poor game to be honest. It also didn't help with Donacien giving away silly throw ins which just played to their strength. I would guess that Burns will be the backup right back when he is fit as Donacien didn't offer anything going forwards last night.

Thought Evans looked average throughout to be honest - should have been sent off for an elbow shortly after their second goal. They’d doubled up on Edwards and whilst he showed glimpses later on it obviously needed changing.
