I very much appreciate his not being here any more.

I appreciate him for being one of the worst players to ever play for Ipswich and let’s face it, in recent years that’s an achievement.

It’s not often you see somebody wandering about on a football field that has absolutely nothing to offer. For ‘Cokey’ shooting, passing, heading, running, tackling, positional play we’re all things that happened to other people.

He made constipation Douglas look like Zinedine Zidane which is some achievement. MM had a really good record of unearthing decent players from under the barrel, but Coke wasn’t one of them.

The cartoons are OK.

The drink, whilst refreshing, rots your teeth and makes you fat.

Middle of the road for me.

Has there ever been a more ironically named footballer?

He didn't sell out one of his teammates to gangsters.

He has never been part of a group who were involved in a racist attempted murder, with the blame eventually being pinned on youth team players who were least valuable to their club at the time and least able to afford fancy lawyers.

He didn't deliberately try and injure an opponent, effectively ending his career, because the bloke may have questioned how injured he was a couple of seasons previously.

He didn't take his gambling addict team mate to a casino.

He didn't perform the worst leading-with-his-elbow shoulder barge in recent English football history, causing severe injury to his opponent.

He wasn't arrested on suspicion of rape.

He wasn't arrested for assaulting a woman.

He was a lower-league player, brought in as a squad filler and brought on to add a bit of height when seeing out games. Not the best, but an honest pro, and, compared to some of the characters we have had at the club, I don't have a problem with him.

I get that. And I’m sure he’s a really lovely bloke too.

However, let’s face it, as a footballer he was truly awful. He may have had a bit of height, but he couldn’t head the ball to save his life. He was one of those that left you wondering ‘how on earth did he make any sort of career in professional football?’. But he has, so full credit to him.

He’s not even in the top 10 players we’ve had in the last 10 years. In fact, he wouldn’t be in the top 10 for the last 5 years, probably even 2, if he’d been here in that time
