Strictly 20:06 - Nov 6 with 3061 views | Swansea_Blue | Come in the TWTD hive mind, who’s going to win this year. John and Johannes or Rose and Giovanni for me. J/J have opened my mind quite a bit tbh. John’s clearly a very good dancer, but they’re simply gorgeous together. They give me the chills in a way a male/male couple anywhere never have before. Giovanni is being an absolute star with Rose. What she’s doing is incredible on any level, and considering she can’t hear it’s unreal. His sensitivity with her is also pulling at the old heart strings. But then AJ is knocking out some serious scores and looks like she’s a pro. I’m struggling to see beyond Kai’s teeth though, and I can believe he’s only about 26. He looks late 30s at best. Shaping up to be one of the best series ever, if not the best.

She always gets one of mine - multi-talented & has made quick steps (sorry) since her first amateurish effort in week 1. Overall tho, has to be J&J for me. I know it's not supposed to be about the pro partners, but as well as John being superb, Johannes is out of this world as a dancer - never seen anyone able to work their whole body the way he does, and his choreography is consistently original & mesmerising to watch. They're also instinctively in tune as a couple, their timing is as immaculate as the pairs in highboard diving.

I'm hoping for Dan to go, but I think it might be Adam this week. Dan always seems like a irritating trendy vicar.

Blimey I hadn't made that connection at all, just looked on wiki and apparently Kai chose dancing over a premier league contract. They showed his dad last night and he looked younger than Kai! Back to the question, it's surely a three horse race between John, Rose and AJ.

My missus went to a live show at Elstree a couple of years back. Expert judge nowadays
| We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub. |

Strictly on 07:58 - Nov 8 with 2277 views | Chrisd | I’ve enjoyed the series and the overall standard has been strong, ultimately though it will come down to whom is the most popular rather than their dancing ability and even though AJ and John are both very good, Rose I feel has a lot of public support especially as she is an Eastenders actress. Although, I still think Tom might have a say regarding who makes the final 3. Trying to quickly link this back to football, Kai Widdrington’s dad is Tommy Widdrington who played for Grimsby Town and Southampton back in the 90s. That feels better 😉

Are they Busted or McFly? I always see McFly as the Westlife to Boyzone To confuse things further they merged and became McBusted for a bit?

If there was a bafta award for frothy nonsense then this show would be a serial winner.

Don't knock it, it's a much needed, feel-good, live music, glitzy cozzies, fun bit of pick-me-up escapism. 'Humankind cannot bear very much reality" - TS Eliot

The misses likes Sara, not least because she’s met her. For me, I think that Rose/Giovanni are amazing and tonight dance was off the scale.

Represents the current plight of the BBC, if the only thing it can get right is this type of show then it is truly lost. I have no doubt there are millions who like it but equally there are millions who are unimpressed by it which is fair enough but the BBC make it the be all and end all of everything, just shows how narrow they have become.

"This type of show" isn't "the only thing it can get right"; the BBC don't "make it the be all and end all of everything" - it's your perspective that is "narrow". Sorry but have to disagree, most of the content you have listed in my opinion is very second rate stuff which desperately tries to mimic shows and formats already in place on other networks.
