Every chance given he's out of contract in the summer and Brighton have let him play in the FA Cup. Would be delighted if we did.

That would be all of last season's lot gone apart from Nsiala and Donacien won't it? I agree though, LW will be gone. One of our remaining saleable bomb squad.

Do we need a LB with the emergence of Clements. Also I think RB is pretty well covered as well with KVY, Donacian and Burns who can also play there. Another CB should be on the cards as well as signing Bonne and Walton on permanents.

Don’t understand the calls for signing a left back myself. Apparently the 4 we currently have who play there and the other 3 who can fill in aren’t enough!

The two CM roles are pretty similar and an ambitious young lad (Jay Matete, for instance) might look at Lee Evans and fancy his chances of pushing him out.

I agree, but am curious about your take on RB. Are you talking about getting a third in, or giving Donacien a new deal.

I should've been more specific. I wonder if we will sign someone who can cover both RB & LB. 1 - owing to KVY's relatively poor form this season and 2 - the fact Donacien, having played very well so far, hasn't signed a new deal yet. Of course, that could all change, but it wouldn't surprise me if that was an area we was targeting still.

I don't think KVY's currently on Cook's "poor form list" after Wycombe. Not saying one swallow makes a Summer or anything, but if the boss rates you initially then it doesn't take much for you to be viable as second choice right back again. I think the preference will be for Donacien and KVY to be the options. With left back, I think it all depends on Coulson's medium term fitness. He's definitely Cook's number one choice and I get the impression he was pencilled in as a potential "loan to permanent" signing. Penney was also signed in the Summer and I can't believe we'd be so knee jerk as to give up on him after just a few months. The only circumstances in which I think we'll buy an LB is if Coulson is properly crocked. Centre back depends on how Cook rates Woolfenden really. If he's fully given up on him and there's a top quality CB available, then I think it's possible we'll move him on, whatever the ramifications for our 7th substitute. I do think we'll get a 3rd choice striker in if Norwood and Jackson leave. 2 isn't enough.

Unless Town's form has really improved, it would be a surprise if Cook didn't want to strengthen the team in one or two places. The obvious place to look is in defence, but we already have 2 left backs at the club signed by Cook (plus Clements), and 2 centre backs also signed by Cook (plus Toto & Woolf), plus 2 goalkeepers signed by Cook. He hasn't signed a right back yet. I doubt sensible owners would countenance signing even more players unless they were better than our existing starting players so doubt there will be much movement. Yes, if Jackson & Norwood were both to go, you could argue for another striker but assuming Bonne isn't recalled & Pigott stays fit, they would probably be 3rd choice. All this really shows is that Cook has been given huge resources so Town should be in the play off places by January or else he's doing a pretty poor job.

January transfers on 16:46 - Nov 17 with 1597 views | Sawtrich | I'd say a permanent signing of Walton is as big a priority as Bonne. I'd also like to see a couple more defenders. Coulson and KVY have struggled to stay fit, Penney looks more like a left midfielder to me , Burgess and Woolfenden have disappointed at times, Clements has made a promising start but has virtually zero experience, given the wages we're paying I think we can find better defenders than we've got.
