He has lost the crowd. 18:30 - Nov 28 with 6313 views | 3_5_2 | Rotherham was as flat as pancake as very few honestly thought we would get anything from the game ( would have been for the players to have least tried) Today, v a team bottom of the league, the crowd never really got going and the atmosphere at PR is poor again. Goals apart, that was a poor performance against a side we could / should have put to the sword I can’t remember the last time a crowd booed a winning team off Seems yet another false dawn for the long suffering town fans. He has lost the crowd. on 18:35 - Nov 28 with 3416 views | SomethingBlue | It's a worry — people want this to be the start of something special so badly, but we've been burned *so* many times before that it was inevitable things would be on a knife edge in terms of atmosphere and belief. Really need a fantastic run in December to get the vibes back up, not quite sure how we do it though.

Don't see how it's going to happen, we need a Celina masterstroke to beat a rubbish Crewe team that everyone else takes to the cleaners. Even their own fans thought it would be 4-1 before the match. It's very poor given the resources he's had, surely there must be some mumourings from within the senior structure now...... SB

I think the lynchpin will be Ashton. Even if he's not going to sack cook now, I would be very disappointed if he hasn't been drawing up a shortlist.

Ha Ha, " he'll get them back with a few wins" he's had 35 games and still only had a few wins. Get real the manager doesn't cut the mustard here. I have no idea why that is, I guess he thought he would do better. It's just not happening and I think if he wants to save what's left of his reputation he needs to move on. 'Fickle'? don't make me laugh, starved of anything to sing about for over 20 years more like. A whole generation of kids have only known depressing football.
He has lost the crowd. on 18:59 - Nov 28 with 3128 views | Basuco | I felt it was a relief we held on for the win, Crewe could and should have scored, but also we really should have scored as well, but strangely it did not feel like a win just that we avoided the draw or defeat. Another poor second half in which we came very close to throwing away the three points. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

So in another 35 games which is roughly the end of the season we change again if there's no consistency? Nonsense

I have to say, I’ve been behind cook more than most up until now - despite the obvious concerns. I believe in giving managers time and practicing patience to allow them to impose their style of football in full before making judgement. Of course these last few games are a concern. Something cook said today rubbed me up the wrong way entirely though: “The fans need to realise we don’t have a Devine right to win football matches, if they think that then they aren’t aligned with what footballs about” Ipswich fans of all fans understand that. What we do expect though is for a team with the highest budget in the league to outplay a Crewe side that had all their best players pinched in the summer. We expect to be higher than 11th at this point. We expect to see some progression after 20 games, not to be told it’s a ‘new’ side again. The town support has been nothing short of phenomenal to this point, not sure he was right to be questioning that today.

It's a strange game. I left Sunderland wondering how on earth we didn't win. We dominated them and lost. Today was almost the opposite. Second half especially was poor.

Yeah that bit stood out from his interview. Ipswich fans are probably the most patient and forgiving in the country considering what a car crash the last 15 years have been. And Cook misjudges it entirely; none of us were expecting instant success. I do though expect us to be competitive in the third tier, not struggling to beat Crewe, and doing nothing more than treading water alongside clubs such as Cambridge and Cheltenham who by comparison are operating on non-league budgets

Point of order. We are no way the most patient fans in the country

I never expected it would be easy to get promotion and I didn't expect opponents to roll over and let us play our "superior" football. I also didn't expect to see our players outworked on and off the ball. But that's what happens. Cook's not motivating the players and the players don't show any self motivation either.

We've really struggled It took a 30 harder from idris to beat Oldham And today it's an audacious goal from celina to give us that much needed 2nd goal against bottom of the league crewe. PC talks about bigger picture. He's losing the fans. The big picture is once you start to lose them your days are numbered.

If you are going to say we only won due to a worldie then equally you should say Bonne and Chaplin missed sitters. We got the three points and I can see us getting all 3 at Charlton

35 games and 1 transfer window into a proven managers reign? I beg to differ.

Do you want to give home as long as our last proven manager? Or the previous proven manager. Or the previous proven manager. Come on. I followed him like a sheep to start with based on his past. His future Is bleak. We are playing the same shtty football Lambert put on. Slow tempo..no ideas when in final.third and going no further forward than we were last season.

It was bad from Town today, nowhere near the required level, no denying it - but equally I’m not quite sure where it’s coming from that Crewe had zillions of golden chances, that’s not what happened.

The talk of god having mercy on the league one. Of being told how the new recruitment department would deliver up excellent players/prospects. Personally I don't buy the stuff about the zillions we have supposedly spent. However, the players Cook has signed are of his choosing likewise the coaching staff. Funny how the recruitment dept identified so many who were coincidentally cronies of Cook.

They absolutely did. Their problem tho thankfully was they chose the wrong final pass. At least 4 times first half alone. They had 3 on 2 and went wrong. Let alone second half.
