Am I right in thinking that if one of the teams wins then it’ll be the first time a team has won it in their home stadium?

I'm not watching any 'sport' in which the ad breaks offer more entertainment than the main event.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

They run 10 yds then have a time out. One bunch of players goes off, another lot comes on. They have like 10 refs and everyone in the stadium is eating hot dogs

Baffling

I shall probably watch the first half live, at least.

Have already consumed nearly eight hours of sport this weekend (one live football match and three televised rugby games), so what's another four?

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

I always make the effort to say awake, usually miss at least one full quarter. 2008, was the last one I remember getting to the end of, so consistent, if not resilient.

No idea, not a fan, just enjoy it (well bits of it anyway) as a (ridiculously) 'big event'!

Didn't Tampa win it in their own stadium last year ? It's rare (first time ?) and for it to be possible twice is bizarre.

I'm not in the States but am in America and the right time zone

Love the Superbowl ... Not the sport but the event ... The movie trailers dropping..the funny TV ads...the half time shows..and that bit always allows me to get to TGI's and have ribs with the family as a tempter

Year of the tiger isn't it ? sooooo the bengals for me as they are underdogs and I'm a Brit we love 'em ..ehh

I’m not a big fan but it’s more entertaining than Rugby Union.

Is it ten-pin or crown green?

I'm being silly, as I know it's American. It's obviously the one indoors, with five holes to help you to hold the thing (can't be played in Norfolk, Virginia) and a conveyor belt to bring your balls back, as it'd be too far to walk to get them.

Whoop-whoop! YEAH! Yippee-aye-kay! etc.

(I'll give it a miss again this year, I'm washing my eyebrows.)

Los Angeles Rams v Cincinatti Bengals.

I've decided to root for the Bengals - more inventive name, nicer kit (well it's less like Leeds' anyway) and, I'm guessing, the underdogs despite being tigers (or something).

You should try Rugby League for entertainment. Far better than the other two codes, and probably more consistently entertaining than football.

To be fair they're carrying a bit of equipment there.

Shoulder pads that wouldn't have been out of place in 'Dallas'.

10 yards and I'd definitely need a rest myself.

...and there's far less b***ery, which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on your point of view, I guess. Might be something to do with having to get all the padding off first?

Haven't followed this season at all for some reason but will be watching tonight. Hard to be too invested when you've not been watching so might be a sleepy affair for me.

I normally avoid the half-time show but will be setting an alarm on this occasion - could be something quite spectacular if done right. The main event for me is Kendrick Lamar. I was meant to see him in 2020 and his last album (not including the Black Panther soundtrack) came out all the way back in 2017. Whether or not he performs any new tracks tonight, I'm confident that the promotion for a new album starts here.

Sorry, no real mention of the football from me but I will be watching!

As a huge Broncos fan, I'm hoping to see Von Miller get another Superbowl win, but I don't like the Rams as an organisation. However as the Bengals have never won it, might be nice for them.

I was invited to see an NFL game in San Francisco once.

There were a few times when it was announced it was time for a Goldrush, and this meant the cheerleaders all came out to do their dancing.

I could discern no clear correlation between anything happening on the field and cheerleading.

Baffling indeed.

Qn on rivalries/loyalties.

If you were an LA raiders fan, would you now follow the Las Vegas raiders or would most switch to the LA Rams? Or would a rivallry prevent that?

Yea, off to a Super Bowl party in a bit. Whoever thought Sunday night is a good night for a piss-up needs a slap. Whoever the underdog is, that’s who I want to win. Assume that’s the Bengals

By the way Ryorry, if you fancy a free bet on the Super Bowl stick £20 on Cooper Kupp to score a TD with Paddy Power and lay it off on the exchange. Should make you about £8 to spend on whatoddspaddy bets.

Same here. Not watched any games this year but will watch this evening. Became interested back when C4 did the coverage and again more recently when the Gamepass became a thing.

I know people can get snobby about US sport, but if you go with the absurdity of it all, then their football, baseball and basketball are a lot more enjoyable than sitting through our top flight games.
