From the abuse a couple of posters are giving ... 17:07 - Feb 12 with 3006 views | Nthsuffolkblue | we must have 9 really good players to make up for Bakinson and Jackson! Isn't it strange how a few fans make it their mission to single out ITFC players for abuse?

Ah, yes. This was what I was looking for. A different player to add in for criticism as well! I am glad we have a manager who doesn't single out players and picks a team on merit to do the job in hand. If McKenna ultimately decides we can and should do better for any particular player, I trust him to make the changes without throwing any of them under the bus or sticking them in the U23s. I guess there will always be some players that some fans will single out for whatever reason.

Both players put in good shifts today. Bakinson is strong and gets up and down the field well. Jackson was never going to get clear chances today but he kept their three defenders under pressure all day.

From the abuse a couple of posters are giving ... on 18:34 - Feb 12 with 2421 views | Churchman | It is strange. Bakinson was on a hiding to nothing from the day he turned up here. We all know why. Personally, I don’t know why we didn’t take Kevin De Bruyne on loan instead. He could have been our marquee signing and I’m sure he’d have got us more than the paltry 19 points from 27 KMs team has got since he turned up. Bet he’d have scored more than the winning goal the other day too. As for Jackson, we should have shipped him out and brought in Mo Salah. I’m sure he’s looking for a new challenge and step up from Liverpool. The owners need to show some ambition. Boooooooo!

Jackson did a really good job of pressing their defence, must have run miles, and had the occasional threat too. Bakinson was fine, solid 6/10 performance. No one deserves stick from a solid performance today.

I was at the game and IMO thought Bakinson was not at his best , on several occasions he gave away possession in the final third when we pressed for an opening down the right , especially in the 2nd half , the game will always be about opinions and for me not at his best .

A decent side like MK aren't going to give him much...they knew he was our major threat and their LB always had help, especially second half.

People behind me moaned about Jackson pre game, and every time he did anything. When you see the reaction his inclusion got on here or on social media it's not hard to see how some people are just anti-him for whatever reason. I don't understand why some so against him, he's a player who Cook had bombed out who has managed to fight his way back in under McKenna and clearly offers something KMK wants - it should be celebrated that someone has managed to get back in like he and Woolf have done

From the abuse a couple of posters are giving ... on 12:22 - Feb 13 with 1651 views | jayessess | I rate Bakinson, people should get off his bak. He plays forward, he picks good passes between the lines, they might be simple ones, but they're simple ones that we often don't play and they're absolutely vital. At the moment a couple of times a game he plays a pass that's bizarre (in weight, direction or conception), but hopefully he'll eventually put that right. On balance though, contributes well. eta: watch the highlights back, Bakinson's involved in most of our meaningful attempts on goal. 1. Plays a first time through ball bypassing their midfield for Celina to shoot. 2. Slides a pass through their midfield to Celina who sets up Jackson for our best chance. 3. Passes the ball nicely into Burns' stride for his shot that goes narrowly wide. 4. Picks up a second ball, plays a first time percentage ball over their backline, their poor clearance ends up with Chaplin who shoots. [Post edited 13 Feb 2022 12:39]

I.ve been supporting since the 70s and remember players like Mills and Lambert getting dogs abuse from the terraces. It.s nothing new, we just have (un)social media to spread it further.

Have you ever wondered that the players that lose possession are attacking players trying to create something? If you enjoyed watching passing possession football in our own half without any threat under Lambert then fair enough but most of us would rather a bit more of an attacking balance.

Did you watch the match yesterday? It was remarkable how many world class saves Walton made and all the last ditch blocks and tackles from Burns that made up for the dross of the rest of the team. Or is McKenna a remarkable manager who can get average players playing like top of the league ones? Your negativity leaves you in a quandary there. But I expect you will just excuse it as luck or something.

From the abuse a couple of posters are giving ... on 16:13 - Feb 13 with 1430 views | ArnoldMoorhen | Bakinson looks tidy to me. He's up to speed and learned his teammates strengths and weaknesses, and, because of Morsy's suspension, had to become a regular earlier than ideal for a loan central midfielder. I think Thompson is looking neat and tidy, too. Not tearing up trees yet, but solid. Jackson has been consistently gash for a few seasons. Yesterday was his best game in over a year. However, you would expect a striker's best game in over a year to contain a goal or an assist, at least. It was a 6/10 performance from him, in my opinion, but he isn't consistently even that good. I think he has had more chances to prove himself at ITFC than a lot of players are given and hasn't repaid that faith shown in him by several different managers.
