Poor old Cookie. Sacked just as we were on the verge of gelling.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Whatever happens this season, our defensive unit is finishing the season very strongly. What's encouraging is apart from LWB, those are our players.

I did say when he was first appointed that, if he won 10 games straight we would probably be 7th judging by the size of the gap and the form of the teams in the top 6.

Now we need to gain enough points from our last 10 matches. 20 points will take us to 76 points and would almost certainly be enough to sneak 6th. Anything less is likely not to be enough. 6 home matches and 4 away left. All we can do is get as many points as we can.

We’ve had a bunch of easy games now the tough ones! Lincoln I’d going to be no push over esp after their win today with Arsenal youngster starring.

Not sure I buy into that. We have played several decent sides since McKenna got here and the big difference before is the results we were getting in those "easier" matches.

Pre-McKenna, Morecambe H 2-2, Cheltenham A 1-2, Burton A 1-2 yielded 1 point. After McKenna they yielded 5 pts.

As much as we have Rotherham and Wigan to play, a win against Oxford and Plymouth would give us points and ensure they don't get them. Those are two matches we really could do with winning or at least drawing. The other 6 matches are against teams below us. Portsmouth are an inconsistent side that we could do with beating too.

Can't argue too much with that. Could probably manage with drawing two and winning one but losing any of them would hurt us. Winning all 3 would go a long way to getting us into the play-offs. The next 3 consecutive Saturdays too.

Of course but last three should have been all 3 points so for me we’re 4 points light.
We seem to be in a hole atm but I’m hoping that by playing better teams we’ll have more space. Lower teams are more disruptive so 6 points in next 2 would be great

You're doing Ian Craney a disservice there - he was very good at folding up the kit as well.
