I take it Liz is in a pretty bad way? 17:07 - Apr 14 with 2566 viewsZx1988

Currently residing at Windsor, but too frail/unwell to make the 300m journey from her quarters to St George's Chapel for the Maundy Thursday service today, or for Easter Sunday.

Given the strength of her faith, and sense of duty, I assume it would only take complete incapability for her to miss these sort of things.

I do hope that she can at least make it to the Jubilee celebrations at the start of June.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

I really don't see the point of speculation, & she's entitled to privacy re her health status.

My Gran lived until she was 98 and fortunately her brain remained sharp while her body wasn’t. The Queen could well live to a 100 and beyond but we shouldn’t expect her to carry out the engagements that she previously did.

I doubt it is 300 miles, probably more like 300 yards and I don't think they want her seen as was P. Margaret when she was wheeled in dark glasses, and covered up.

This does however bring up questions about Jubilee celebrations, with the obvious thought - will she still be here ?

Unusual times to say the least - a global epidemic, a war in Europe and the possible end of an era, with inflation at a level not seen in over 3 decades, the UK retreating into isolation and prices rising faster than most can remember - the old saying 'may you live in interesting times' is quite an understatement for the present

Poor old dear........

I wish her no ill will, but I really don't care much about her or her god.

Although, its fairly safe to assume that a 95 year old lady who lost her husband of 70+ years in the last year might be a tad frail now.

Considering how much we pay her and her family of wastrels and halfwits, no she doesn’t.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Sure, but his post said rather more than that - ie "unwell", "complete incapability".

Her mum lived to over 100 and she’s a hardy outdoors woman, with the finest healthcare and advice money can buy. She was riding a horse 18months ago!

But, she had covid. So either she’s still feeling the effects (which can really linger even after a mild bout for a young un) and she’ll get through it. Or, it’s knocked her for 6 and she’s on the downwards slope. Time will tell I guess.

There are reports that the prince and princess of America have flown in incognito and visited the old biddy. Perhaps that will add to speculation...

Or, because she's a shapeshifting lizard, it will increase her powers.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.
