Somewhat pie in the sky could be Lee Buchanan of Derby County, depending on how their takeover goes. Due to circumstances at the club he enjoyed 29 appearances this year as well as two under 21s games for England. His contract is up at the end of the season and could be worth a long look at.
A young L1 possibility Cameron Borthwick-Jackson at Burton is coming into his peak age of 26 next season. Came through the ranks at Man United with experience at Oldham and Burton in league one as well as appearances for England's youth teams. Usually a name you'd hear Brenner gush over when we played them.
Young and out of contract option Ben Purrington of Charlton has scored 3 goals from 27 this season and is no stranger to the division having played for Plymouth and Rotherham before joining Charlton in 2019.
He's also not too bad in dead ball situations. This video is from Novermber when Purrington was nominated as player of the month. Striker's finish from the LB.
I think this just demonstrates there are options out there. I appreciate we are in League One but would like to think the Ipswich "project" is potentially quite attractive.

Paddy Lane - Fleetwood ?
Not a bad name, but the reason I didn't put him down is that he has very limited experience in this league (or above) than the others. There were only so many potato quality video reels with awful remix songs I could stomach watching.
Greg Leigh from Morecambe might be a decent shout... ex City academy, played in eredivisie, and Scottish prem for Aberdeen, before injuries set him back, but he's stayed pretty fit for Morecambe this season, and fits well into an attacking wing back role( started life as a striker, and has some good goals to his name).
We might be looking a bit higher up, but I don't think he'd be a bad shout, available on a free too.

If only we had a new structure in place to identify new signings
You do know the third stage of the new structure is WKJ touting some of the names identified on here to gauge fan reaction before Ashton gets into action?
Niels Nkounkou. Currently at Liege on loan from Everton. Would imagine he’ll leave Everton again on loan in the summer. 21 year old born France youth international, Marseille youth player.
Remember seeing him v Fleetwood in the cup one year. He dominated that side, up against Wes Burns on the night.

I believe that this is the preferred position of a youngster called Phillip Ham . Should be able to get him for a packet of Hobnobs. If not Roberto Carlos.

Mark Ashton at the next fans forum: “WKJ really is World Class. I wouldn’t want to be in this role without him here. And he’s had some stick about that jacket by the way”

Would you rather I look at a few players I believe looks the part, or maintain TWTD tradition and claim one will be coming as Def Info :'D

Like the look of him, But I think Mark Fish would look pretty good on a highlight reel.

Matthew Sorinola. - Was at MK Dons, but moved to Union SG in Belgium where it’s not really worked for him. Still only 21, so fits the mould perfectly.
I think the plan with that was he would move to Belgium, and then on to Brighton to save on the tribunal fee. A bit like George Hirst a couple of years back.
