I have enjoyed my recent foray 23:50 - Jun 30 with 1235 views

into the wild vista that is TWTD in 2022. However I fear the time has come for a digital detox of sorts which will, I’m afraid, necessitate my abstention from the forum for the time being. I rather fear that prolonged exposure to online debate (on here, and Tweeter) is on the whole a detrimental factor to what one might loosely define as my “mental health”. Or at least my inability to switch off from it is.

That is, of course, not to say that it has been a waste of time. On the contrary, for most of us I am sure it fosters social connections with broadly positive consequences. I am glad I saw BlueLagos’s post and was able to help with the fundraiser. In spite of all that I have learnt during this most recent, protracted stint, for now I think I am better off in absentia.

And so, like a 13 pager on Trans skateboarders, I come and I go. I’m logging off for a little while. It’s been a pleasure/nightmare [delete as applicable].

I’ll be back.
