And as delightful as I have found it up to now there are some silly sausages that make daft comments on here and they seem to be the same protagnists time after time.
Is there a method where one can diffuse or simply block the particular poster that is becoming an irritant?
I would welcome any feedback of a positive nature.

Yeah you can. I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned, but then I’ve got a couple of the biggest bellends on my div list.
What you have to do is just go to a post made by the particular irritant and click on their name rather than the post.
You are then in their profile page and on the right hand side you can click on "Ignore User".
It's not foolproof though, you have to be logged in otherwise you are still subjected to them, plus when they are those very prolific posters that are all over every thread it does make the threads difficult to follow.
But it can help.
