Blimey!

4-1 down at Grimsby at half-time. Does anyone know if they've put out a weakened side?

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

I think that is being unfair to Grimsby, got to give their management team a lot of credit, could do with them here

Yep injured players in the first half, Grant who I think was returning from injury and Scarr who’s been pretty good for them at the back.

Couple of first half subs needed too - hopefully (non serious) injuries to stretch them a bit more!

Not ideal. As with Villa in 81, early exit gives them a clear run at the league

Given our larger squad, the pizza cup and FA Cup probably are better for keeping our fringe players sharper

The Pizza Cup certainly helped with having Ball and Humphreys playing together in the league

As an example

Chesterfield winning as well. Dobra already picked up another yellow card.

Hasn’t helped us all in the last few seasons, we’ve consistently gone out of cups early and got worse as the season has gone on!

So they can concentrate on the league then?

Great.🫤

Paul Mariner stopped us winning the European Cup basically.

So we don’t need to be concerned about them at the beginning of November ?

Maybe but what the result might suggest is that Plymouth are focusing on promotion.
What it might do is show the rest of League One that they can be beaten! However I’m inclined to agree that Town just needs to keep on its current path and let the rest worry

Plymouth have now lost 2 matches 5-1 , and still top the league. If we lost a match 5-1 there would be bedlam on here.
