Yes, it was reported that he was under investigation for this a little over 10 days ago, but TalkSport accidentally slipped it into one of their hourly news slots about 10 days before that. I was cleaning the garage at the time and it caught my ear, but no mention was made of it in the next slot, so I assumed a mistake had been made!
On Wilson, I find it very hard to enjoy his recent success, but he has looked decent and deserves his place in the squad - but I'd rather have Toney. | |

All opinions I guess and maybe Southgate did fancy him more. Toney is the better goal scorer though and seeing as they will likely only be used for the final 10 mins of games when we need a goal I’d be surprised if Wilson is seen as more effective than Toney.

Wilson has 6 goals in 11 games this season, and scored 8 in 18 last - both with VAR. Toney has 10 in 14 following 12 in 33 last season. Across the two Wilson has a marginally better goal per game ratio
Ignoring the betting charge I’d have probably gone with the upside of Toney as the younger, more in form option, and it may well be that Southgate would too as it’s inconceivable he wouldn’t have known about it (or had his hands tied). However there isn’t a lot in it and I have no idea why anyone gives a sh*t really given that Harry Kane will clearly be leading the line with Sterling and Rashford probably stepping in if he gets injured | |
