Whatever the result ends up being but unfortunately it’s looking like a bad loss McKenna got the side wrong today. No way ladapo and Chaplin should be on the bench with a cup game coming up.
Sure we played well first half but not clinical. Had ladapo been playing we’d have scored I’m sure.
My heart sank when I saw the team sheet, Davis makes so much works and I know that’s likely illness but the other decisions are odd. |  |

Last game Portsmouth scored 2 goals out of 2 shots on target. Lincoln have one shot today and scored. We've had 6 shots on target and last game i think we had similar numbers. We are getting punished, quite badly, by our opponents over-exceeding either their level or xG. It's irregular. We have dominated today so far. |  |

I disagree. I thought pushing players high up the pitch to stretch their press was a smart move. We’ve rarely looked threatened all game because of it. They had a 5 minute spell largely down to our own mistakes but other than that, we’ve been commanding.
Biggest issue we have is a continual desire to walk it in the net. I agree it’s novticeable when Chaplin isn’t playing. Cook called him “his assassin in the box” and you can understand why. He finds half yard pockets and pulls the trigger.
Unfortunately for us, we’re all crying out for a player with craft and another striking option but we spurned Celina and Bonne at the start of the season. How much would we like them off the bench now? [Post edited 2 Jan 2023 17:13]

Just proves going into the season with Ladapo and Jackson as your alternatives for the striking role. `Anyone who plays football against us usually gets beat, if you play like Lincoln we struggle, sometimes you just have to match crap teams style of play.

Think KM's just juggling a bit with fitness and illness issues. Whilst trying to manage a few players who are not 100% fit..

Yes he did get it wrong Jackson is bloo*y hopeless if he had got through chances are he would have missed we still need a minimum of 3 players who are starters
