I’d like to see Edwards go out on loan. He has some really good attributes (pace, trickery etc) but doesn’t seem to know how to put it all together when he’s on the pitch. He could really do with going away for a few months and starting games every week. |  |

Likewise. When he played a blinder against Cambridge and followed it up with a superb display against Accrington away, I though he would kick start his career here.
But he isn’t fulfilling his potential in the way I had hoped. I really want to see him do special things here. | |

"End product is patchy. But v quick, skillful, and not afraid to take people on. But like I said, final ball and product is lacking. Luxury player. Not strong enough in tackles or headers (won't go in for either) so whoever he is playing in front of will be exposed a lot."

Corbeanu has scored 3 and got 1 assist in half a season at Championship level this season - that’s more on both counts than Edwards has delivered in a season and a half in League One with us (2 goals, no assists). Edwards has played nearly twice as many minutes in that time (1633 v 843)

I'd argue he would be best served learning his trade under McKenna, he has the ability to improve players, think everyone can see Edwards has the ability, he just needs to work on a few things but at 24 he needs to really knuckle down.

I've not given up on Edwards yet, there's still enough in what we've seen to make a contribution. Harper on the other hand last played well about August 2021 which is a shame as he looked good at times then. | |
