There is one common dominator in all of this 08:59 - Feb 16 with 2422 viewsReus30

the fans. ...

Expectations far too high, miserable old sods, too quiet, too whingey, too negative.

We are doomed because we deserve to be, especially with a tosh fanbase such as ours.

Cool.

By the way we can mathematically no longer be top on 4th March.

We will be top of the league, the blubbers will have left and TWTD will be back to arguing about Brexit and being green once more.

Poll: An interesting day for our politicians, but which one is worse?

What an absolute load of garbage.

Our fans have been tremendous this season and fully brought into Gamechanger/Ashton's plans.

For context, we are club that averages 25,000 a week, who has assembled a squad at the cost of 10m in League One. Quite rightly our expectations are high. When we get into the Championship our expectations should be play offs.

For far too long we've accepted mediocrity and it left the club in an absolute state until about 2 years ago.

Keep those expectations sky high.

Agreed. It's not nice to see people start to turn so quickly and shout abuse at players during the games though. I wish those could just show an bit more maturity - support during the game and then vent afterwards if they need to. People can do whatever they want of course, but I don't see how shouting abuse at the players helps.

I've supported the Town for over 50 years and have never called out the team whether during or after the game, mainly because I don't think it is the right thing to do if you're a true supporter, but also because it doesn't do any good for the team.

Average attendance of around 26k in the third division, fabulous fanbase...deserves so much better.

Your trolling though is very non-league.

I certainly believe in maturity. I've just put all my toys back in the pram and I am not going to sweem and sweem until I'm thick.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

I think the problem is that we've seen this movie play out too many times before since we fell into League One. And while everyone had their suspicions and doubts about the squad that got relegated into this division, this squad are supposed to be a different beast. They may still turn it around, but I can't blame fans who go regularly and who are venting at games from feeling disappointed and let down by what they've seen since October 29.

Shame, I was looking forward to chatting about brexit again but instead we can all read about the thoughts of the blubbers and then the happy clappers and round and round we go into an endless cycle of doom. KM in, KM out, In,Out,In,Out, shake it all about.

Optimism for the season has died along with the soul of ITFC.

My OP is factually correct (apart from the hideous spelling of common denominator). Regardless of ownership, fans remain the constant throughout. It doesn't matter about the attendance numbers, it just means that more numpties congregate around a stadium that is devolved of joy.

I will just continue to live in the bliss of my memories from 20+ years ago. Wake me up when this is all over.

You weird, weird fish.

All of your posts are whinging about how crap the support is, which you then choose to amplify by coming on a Towun forum and telling everyone on here, by association, how crap they are too.

I went 20+ years ago too, when the NSL had, it seemed, weekly arguments over whether Scowie was any good or not.

Blissful, indeed.

If only it was a joke but appreciate you backing up my point.

Maybe you could see I was right then as I am now. The club isn't any better off 5 years later is it!!!!
New owners, new managers, new players.... the constant - same fans.

You are all just too blind to see it, either from cataracts or coke as I noted previously.
