Style of play, I would say Exeter has the biggest potential to be a banana skin among our remaining matches as they have done a number on a few higher tempo attacking systems this season. Barnsley being the most competitive of the remaining fixtures. Given our form, we are in pole position and I hope we keep eeking out results so that the race doesn't go down to the wire.

It's the one we've all counted as the easiest in a tough run-in but that makes me very wary because we know how this sport works. They have players who can produce something: Matty Taylor getting on a bit but as natural a finisher as anyone in L1; James Wilson very handy alongside him; Ellis Harrison we know well can be a nuisance and Gavin Massey has been a good player at the second and third levels. At some point in the next few weeks an opponent will see something come off and we'll need to respond. Let's hope Tuesday is stress-free. | |

Tbh it's onlt natural after years of disappointment, broken promises etc for fans to be nervous. But this nervousness mustn't be passed on to the team. It does make you wonder exactly what Wednesday fans are thinking. I remember a comment made with regards to them and us about how we didn't have the strength in depth of them. It appears from comments made by their fans they are now questioning why they didn't recruit better in the January window. Which judging by the impact made by those brought in by Town were spot on. Every angle was covered, every position where needed strengthened and whilst of course we all feel for Freddie it must be said that this was a place that needed attention as I am sure he would be the first to admit he couldn't do it all on his own and we as fans are eternally grateful for his contribution which is no mean feat given the number of starts he has had. | | | |
