Barnsley dilema 08:08 - Apr 23 with 2622 views | pennblue | They have beaten sheffield wed twice this season already They will not make top two So do they really want to play us in the play offs? A win for them would make it more likely

Barnsley dilema on 08:14 - Apr 23 with 2242 views | tonybied | I really don't think they are going to be throwing the game, especially when there's still a chance of automatics for them (even if very slim).
Barnsley dilema on 08:14 - Apr 23 with 2242 views | BanksterDebtSlave | Or....they can still make top 2 but only a win is good enough and there couldn't be a more dangerous time to play them. Can't wait.

Barnsley dilema on 08:17 - Apr 23 with 2197 views | ArchiRob | They will want to feed off the confidence beating us would give them especially going into the playoffs They are good too, but not us good as us hopefully not even in the same league

They may also be silently thinking they 'owe us' one after the 4-2 play off final defeat a few years back.

The playoffs are essentially cup games and anything can happen and Barnsley are going to want to keep their form going and look to beat us. There's little point for them in getting tactical with who you play. Lie you say, we should win up there.

Most of their players were at primary school when that game happened, some weren't even born. I doubt that'll be playing on their minds much.

Barnsley dilema on 08:41 - Apr 23 with 1923 views | tonybied | One thing's for sure, I'm going to be a wreck in the lead up! I know it's a free hit but a win and we have one foot in the championship! I just keep having flashbacks to postponing games under Lambert and never taking advantage of the games in hand. It should be a humdinger of a game judging by the form of both of us! | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Barnsley dilema on 08:45 - Apr 23 with 1880 views | ArnieM | Would a point from Barnsley be enough ? ….. (assuming we could beat Exeter on Saturday)…

They're still going for autos, however unlikely that is on 08:45 - Apr 23 with 1880 views | Dyland | Anything can happen in this league, as we have seen. They will be full on trying to win, no doubt about it. The idea they will be happy with a loss to avoid facing us in the playoffs is swivel blue eyed hubris in extremis. No offence like :)

Mark my words this will be the toughest game of the season… on 08:48 - Apr 23 with 1860 views | unstableblue | .. Barnsley have an amazing home record, one of the best managers in the league and one of the most talented squads It will be a huge test BUT we are the better team and if the players turn up and the 5000 away fans bring their A game (like the phenomenal support yesterday) we can win… we’ve done it a Posh, Derby and Bolton and we can do it agains. But there is no room for any players to not put in a 7+ performance. Barnsley for example are able to rotate out Norwood and play Tedic, who gets a brace and puts pressure on for a start. But we play at our best, we win, and we set up Exeter as an incredible home event.

They may also be thinking they owe us one because of the controversy over the postponed game. Whilst still very good, their form hasn't quite been at it's peak since the break, hence they've dropped off to the extent that Tuesday is almost win or bust for them.

Wasn’t it the Barnsley home game where we had a perfectly good goal disallowed ( and would therefore have beaten them)?

Yes - Harness. It'd be nice if we could take a "we owe them" mentality from that.

Barnsley dilema on 09:14 - Apr 23 with 1666 views | N2_Blue | They won’t approach it any differently than they usually would and while anything is mathematically possible they will go for it. Never know why fans ever think teams think about this sort of thing. They don’t. Not in a million years will Barnsley not go out to try win on Tuesday and put pressure on the 3 teams ahead of them, all of which they can still catch. Pressure can do funny things. The top 3 will drop points between them in the last two games, im certain, just hope it’s not us obviously.

Barnsley dilema on 09:54 - Apr 23 with 1455 views | BlueandTruesince82 | My hope is that Chappers is bang up for it. He wasn't happy about the way he left there, he was at a championship club who told him they needed the money and he was getting sold to a L1 club like it or not Now I dont for 1 min think he regrets comming here but he has said before Barnsley showed him no loyalty and it clearly jarred with him how it was all handled at their end

He’s defined focussed on going back there.. and his family are travelling (and don’t often to go Barnsley games by the sound of it) Love Chappers and having a great season… but he was a little off the pace yesterday till the goal… And when he’s back defending the edge of the box he needs be more effective But what a guy… and I’m expecting a big performance Tuesday

Barnsley dilema on 11:45 - Apr 23 with 1109 views | textbackup | Last chance saloon for them to make the top 2 now, which I honestly think will play into our hands. Keep it tight, give away nothing, and work the spaces they leave when committing men forward. Reckon a lovely little counter attack goal or two could be on the cards

3 games left need 5 points if Wed. go 100% .
Barnsley dilema on 11:59 - Apr 23 with 1034 views | Sawtrich | What may help us is that a draw is no good to them at all. If it's level with 20 minutes to go they will go for it big time. If we can keep them out we can pick them off when they commit men forward (please please please).
Barnsley dilema on 12:11 - Apr 23 with 945 views | LeoMuff | Should be a game made for us, they need to win and will go for it, none of this low block guff. We could lose as they are for me the 2nd best team at present in league 1 and at home, should be good. We have thankfully got the back up of Exeter at home and Fleetwood which should be 6 points and Wednesday May still drop points.

Barnsley dilema on 12:11 - Apr 23 with 945 views | BloomBlue | They won't make top 2 (as you say) it would need 2 from 3 to feck up, it's not going to happen. They're in the playoffs, so now they have to think do I put my foot in a 50/50 tackle and potentially get injured and miss the playoffs
