As a neutral I'm so happy for them.
As an Ipswich fan, I think I wanted Coventry to go up as I think they'll be more of a threat next year.
As an aside, Coventry were our last opponents at Portman Road before Covid restrictions were put in place.

Brilliant stuff. Genuinely would have been happy with either of those teams winning today so do feel for Coventry.

I bet Watford are pleased they sacked Edwards.

They deserve this promotion. The best part is all the entitled, billy big Bollox clubs will hate going to Kennilworth road.

If you’ve never been to Luton, it’s an experience. You literally feel like you’re walking through someone’s back bedroom to get into the stand , up done metal (fire escape type steps), “unbelievable Geoff”!

Coventry is a damn sight easier to get to from here than Luton! Despite being nearer.

I’ll let you have that one! Bit of a nicer stadium to go to, although I love Luton’s ground.

I wonder if the Ricoh still has a casino in it?

I disagree, Luton look like a horrible team to play against. Coventry will probably be strong next year but are likely to lose a couple of their best players

Luton’s ground is a ghastly hole. Always has been. Luton - dreadful place. Their football: Wimbledon/Cambridge United hoof.

But what a story. All the way from the Conference in nine years. That’s some achievement. Congratulations to them.

Very happy for them of course as a neutral, but I genuinely cannot imagine them in the Prem next season.

By that I mean I cannot imagine their badge on my TV next to Man City's, or seeing their orange kit away at Spurs or anything...fair play!!! Haha

Indeed. Not the only ironic story. Jones left a job he was safe as houses in to go to a club his club have basically swapped places with (and got sacked from that).

Rob Edwards has also managed two promotions in two seasons, while also being sacked.

As did Notts County, who also never made it back and went out of the football league. Wonder if they will get back there some day.

I actually had a look online at the Division One tables to see how far back I would have to go to find another club in the top flight, who hasn't as yet played in the Prem.

I didn't actually have to go too far. Millwall relegated in 89-90.

Nearly every game like an FA Cup game.

Surely someone beats them 10-0 (or more)

A genuinely good news story (although either winning would have been) and really looking forward to seeing the big guns going to Kenilworth Road!

Depends on their capacity to reinvest I suppose. I saw they need to spend £10m on the ground alone to be ready for the Prem

Closest I've come to dying driving to football that. M6 was ludicrous and the driving by some was outrageous. Outside lane, full tilt no lights on you name it.
