I guess this is why the authorities are trying to stop pitch invasions. You just can't legislate for the one twit out of thousands doing that. It's a pity as I think a good natured pitch invasion really adds to the air of celebration, but there's been more and more of these sorts of incidents during pitch invasions and it can't be allowed to carry on.
None of us want fences returning and fines don't mean anything to fans. I guess the only option they'll have left is for points deductions or even denying teams promotion or a place in a final. | |
