And it’s not to do with the evil boats, that’s chicken feed, and the Rwanda vanity project is window dressing and very expensive
It’s backfilling key sectors like care and hospitality due to EU workers returning, and those coming in are those very ethnic groups on Farage’s original posters
And the Tories completely fecked up ‘the levers’ as we got control and we have had a massive influx of lower skilled workers and their dependents from flung lands often subsidised to come here
But the economy needs them and our nearer more flexible EU neighbours aren’t interested or aren’t allowed
The crazy thing is that no brexiteer or Tory are taking any responsibility - the brexiteers blame the implementation and the Tories refuse to shoulder the blame
The Tories love huge migration - it gives them a group to vilify, and keeps wages suppressed for their corporate donors. There’s no debate over the value of migration, but already having a housing shortage, NHS on its knees, waiting lists for life saving surgery etc - adding the equivalent of two Leicester’s in a year is ridiculous.
Still they’ll fool the gullible; ‘ignore the 3/4 million, focus on this handful of desperate people fleeing war zones’.

I found this informative when it was doing the rounds
Are the Tories just trying to lay another one of their traps in the hope Starmer falls into it? When pressed on how to solve it, they'll spin whatever answer Starmer gives to him just opening up the flood gates to all those stinky eastern Europeans.

Surely the NHS would have collapsed without the two Leicesters of immigrants? These people are less likely to use health services and more likely to man them.
I don’t see how Brexiters can blame “implementation”.
It was entirely predictable. I remember one such debate on here about the difference between a person that can freely travel around the EU, at relatively low cost, and choose to work in different EU countries, vs a person from outside the EU, that would need to make a big commitment if they wanted to live and work in the U.K., hence whole families moving, rather than one person.
Free movement of labour <> immigration.
Now the U.K. only has immigration.

So if I can convince my partner that I couldn't get a job in the UK paying over £38,700 I'd never have to think about moving back to UK again? At last some good news in these generally depressing times. Though obviously not for any families that wish to live back in the UK

You lefty liberal woketard.
I've just found out that a former colleague and indeed protege currently has a senior finance role with BICS* in the Home Office. Poor sod.

*Borders, Immigration and Control Services.
I work with someone who used to bang heads together in shipping containers at ports. I don't think that was his official title though. It sounds a bit of a grim job at the sharp end.

Absolutely. I saw a brilliant mic drop yesterday.
Someone on a TV panel said with all these legal immigrants, how do you get to see a doctor? The next person said, in all likelihood one of those could have been your doctor.
Cheap point, but perfectly made.

See also the economy and national debt. The Conservatives want the electorate to believe they are the party to manage the economy and keep the debt down and yet this government has failed on both counts. They will still claim they are the safe hands at the next election and, unfortunately, many will simply believe them.

Absolutely lauding the immigration plan u-turn
The essential Labour win we need is not as close as some think.

A few years ago a container load of smuggled immigrants was unloaded when the lorry reached its destination.
Unfortunately the destination was RAF Lakenheath. The scanning all vehicles undergo on entering the base detected the container was carrying a human carge.
I imagine the poor occupants were a little surprised to be confronted with heavily armed USAF pointing some serious weaponry at them.
