Between Thanksgiving (sorry but this is often used as a marker in the sports calendar here, so I’m keeping it) and January 2nd, that’s insane! Especially considering we play a lot of teams around us.

Much as I follow the 1 game at a time mantra, looking at those matches I think we're capable of getting the 2PPG to keep our run going; 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats isn't beyond this team. We did have our dip at this stage last season though; brought in reinforcements in the window which I'm sure we'll do again regardless of how we do for the rest of the year. |  |

I am taking the positive view that this time last year we were dealing with teams with pitches that were less suited to our style of play - and it is notable that we have really come unstuck only when the elements have been against us so far this season (ignoring Leeds for a moment).
It's all different this year - our away games in this period are at WBA, Middlesborough, Watford and Leeds which I assume have billiard table like surfaces.

I think it will be more than 83 needed but some think it'll be like last year with 94 points needed for autos.
I disagree, the margins in the champ are a lot smaller. There are way less fixtures where you can roll up and get 3-0 and 4-0 wins by playing average.
I think if we take another 50 points from 30 games
15 wins, 5 draws, 10 defeats
12 wins, 14 draws, 4 defeats
One other team is going to have to be exceptional from now to pip us. | | | |

Agreed, although I think Leeds (as much as it hates me to say it) are a real threat to automatic promotion. We had over 2 ppg between the last two international breaks and they still gained a point on us. That indicates we are going to have to pull out all the stops to keep them at arms length. Someone else mentioned recently for all their record breaking Leicester haven’t looked THAT impressive for a while. Could have easily dropped points at QPR as well. It’s crazy points being accumulated at the moment, will be interesting to see what kind of points tally it takes this season. | | | |

I think we're expecting there to be multiple teams getting 90+ points but so far only ourselves and Leicester are on course for that. We’d need form of a team around 15th to not finish in the playoffs by my calculations, which would still be a hell of a season. However, 8 points clear and everyone to play each other gives you a real chance if we get into the NY in a similar position (or with even a slightly smaller gap). An exciting 6 months of football ahead. | | | |
