Maidstone Allocation 06:42 - Jan 9 with 4300 views | LA_Tractor_Boy | What's everyone's guess then. Will Maidstone be allocated the whole of Cobbold upper (excl. D block) so that Cobbold lower incl. the gold seats can be sold to home supporters? Or will Maidstone be given the whole stand?
Maidstone Allocation on 07:05 - Jan 9 with 4205 views | tivo | They will get V1 & V2 as initial allocation with guaranteed extras if required working down through E, C, B, A as they need it. B & A cannot be sectioned off behind so need to be sold together so we might also keep S block in hand if they only need a few hundred more. I hope they agree to £10 pricing so they can enjoy 25K+

Think that's ambitious for us for a cup game. We're an appealing fixture for Maidstone but the same isn't really true the other way round, no disrespect intended to them but we saw plenty of cloggers on our four year League 1 tour. We got 25k for Burnley last season which was a much more juicy fixture.

And I'm hoping that Town can help them out. If not financially. With some nice gestures like Kit Footballs And other football-related bits. Good to see a lower-league club advance this far

Should be a full house as must be a lot of supporters who can’t get a ticket for a league gsme. Also a good opportunity for fans to bring a friend along.

Maidstone Allocation on 10:02 - Jan 9 with 3498 views | BrentwoodBlagger2 | Being the FA Cup Maidstone will be offered an increased allocation and they will probably easily sell 5000 as it will be their cup final. I have attended a few of their matches recently and they have some proper Chavvy teenage fans.
They got 4000 at home for the Stevenage game on 10:07 - Jan 9 with 3444 views | unstableblue | 250-500 of which was Stevenage? Probably a sell out Maybe they can muster 4000 away? It’s not far by road. That’s the Cobbold Upper through to B I’d guess

I'd give them the whole Cobbold Upper if they can fill it, helps us get a sell-out if the tickets are priced correctly.

Depends on marketing and pricing. I wonder if people will buy seats just to gain points to attend more attractive home and away matches in the league.

Think it will be a big crowd (25,000+ possible) if it's a Saturday 3pm, but expect it probably moves to a Friday or Monday night and will be much lower (both home and away).
Maidstone Allocation on 12:15 - Jan 9 with 3088 views | Kentish_Tractor | Maidstone is a fairly big place - bigger than most think anyway - County Town of Kent and a similar population to Ipswich. Not many teams around bar Gillingham so hope they'd bring a few thousand - hope they can fill most of Cobbald.

I can’t see anybody just buying for points. Home games do not count towards points ( haven’t so far, so can’t see this being a reason to buy a ticket). Even the Norwich home game excluded cup games from the priority purchase rules.

Not for me - think this is misguided. There are thousands of clubs in a worse position - and they'll be getting 45% of the gate not to mention the prize money (and possible TV) for getting this far. Grassroots needs support, but I wouldn't be prioritising the non-league club that has made the most in prize money this season.

I think the focus has got to be on packing out the ground as much as possible. Maidstone have had it really tough over the years and lived a nomadic existence for the decade prior to the opening of the Gallagher, playing home games in Ashford and Sittingbourne which really hurt the club. Even the old club when playing in the football league, had to play their home games in Dartford. Being from the area, I would love to see us price this well and get them a nice pay day because life in the national league is precarious. They have a 3G pitch which is a nice earner for them and allows them to do a lot in the community, but it would be good to see us show our class and give them a day to remember, aside from the result of course. Why should they turn down a big payday in order to try and facilitate a large crowd? They get 45% of gate receipts, and it is in their best interests to work with ITFC to find the right balance between ticket price and attendance. 15k at £20 a ticket would generate more for them than 25k at £10 a ticket, so it's not all about getting as many as possible through the gates. It's the same for ITFC as well (albeit in a different context). The club needs to maximise the income from the tie in order to have the scope to do more within FFP rules.

They will easily sell 5k if it's a Saturday. Maidstone is bigger than Ipswich and the club has been through a lot in the past decade - this will be a hugely attractive game and trip.

I remember them as a league side. Not sure I'd agree that there are 'not many teams around' - Kent has more National league (+south) teams than Essex - Tonbridge, Dover, Bromley, Ebbsfleet, Dartford, Welling (if that's Kent) . I guess that a lot of people who normally support Charlton say will be up for a day out in sunny Suffolk rather than going all the way to Blackpool.
